This week the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission fined BetFred and PointsBet for failing to adhere to the Hawkeye State’s self-exclusion policies.

PointsBet was hit was a $5,000 fine for violating the rules, which the company says were broken by accident. The company has reached out to the regulator to ensure that the violations were a mistake and that they’re taking steps to remedy the problem.

BetFred was also fined $5,000 because they failed to download a list of self-excluded players within the timeframe allowed. An employee downloaded the list one day late after downloading the list a day early the week before.
