It's really hard and I don't know a specific trick for 3 perfect matches, however an easy 1-up trick is to wait until there's a cherry in the first slot, then, this is the important part-wait a split second after you hear the 'do-do-do do do do dooooo' sound that indicates you've received a 1-up, then press the button again. Jose Otero, IGN.com, 9.6 'Super Mario 3D World is a game of exceptional craft, of painstaking focus on the minute details that are integral to making it feel special.' - Mark Walton, GameSpot, 9.0 Super Mario 3D World marks Nintendo's first stab at a 3D multiplayer Mario game and hands-down, it's the best Wii U game yet.
A Lucky House[1] is a slot machine minigame introduced in Super Mario 3D World. They can appear in every world with the exception of Worlds Mushroom, Flower, and Crown, and can be unlocked after a certain amount of time in a world. The minigame revolves around hitting all four Slot Blocks to match Fire Flowers, Super Leaves, Super Bells, Double Cherries, or Boomerang Flowers to earn a coin reward. The beat of the music determines which icon the player will get.
Depending on the number of icons that match, the amount of coins rewarded are as follows:
No matches - 10 coins
One pair - 100 coins (1-UP)
Two pairs - 200 coins (2-UP)
Three-of-a-kind - 300 coins (3-UP)
Four-of-a-kind - 777 coins (7-UP or 8-UP)
Trivia[edit]
The music that plays is a cover version of Super Mario Bros. 2's character select theme.
In Super Mario Odyssey, the Slots game provides a similar function with Hearts and Coins due to the lack of extra lives.
The Prima guide for Super Mario 3D World mistakenly claims that World 1 does not have a Lucky House.
